At first I didn’t know where this video was going and thought that it was going to be a bit boring actually. Maybe it was how slow the speaker started off trying to explain these paintings he ended up reinventing. I was trying to grasp the point of the video. As the video kept going he became a little more relatable in stating that he had to complete these drawings how he best saw art. Two points were brought up: 1. There needs to be a willingness to expose oneself to a critical audience and not to suggest confidence about what one is doing. 2. Select two drawings for the price of one. The point is bring the idea of doubt into graphics. He was pretty vulnerable when it came to not knowing how to complete the one project and he let his audience know that, although that usually is a big no no. I think it leaves rooms for greater expression. This turned out to be a great video.
When asked to pick a favorite movie poster, I instantly thought of Stranger things. I love the color scheme of the movie and the time setting. The dark colors just mesh together in a complementing way. The eye draws to a missing friend due to the lights on the bikes pointed in that direction. The poster is just balanced.
